dc.description.abstractThis workshop explores the importance of professionalism and gatekeeping in professional and pre professional academic programs, specifically CSWE accredited Social Work programs. This topic may also be useful for other academic and professional programs. Suggestions will be provided for connecting classroom coursework and expectations to professional behaviors. Strategies for improving coordination between faculty, students and community businesses, agencies and health care settings will also be offered.
